My arms are outstretched to hold all my blessings

Dscn2852 This is the half of the basement that I'll set up in...there is a little more space behind me where I'm standing to take this photo.  When they stopped for the day, the panelling was primed and painted and the floor was washed and etched.  Tomorrow they will prime and paint the floor.  The next 2 weeks will be spent moving my stuff in.  Doing this instead of renting studio space sporadically is a much better use of the grant funding I received.  I'll get to work much more committedly!

  1. excellent! BTW, I don't know if it's a quote from something or what, but "my arms are outstretched to hold all my blessings" is great, made an unusually immediate & vivid picture in my mind.

  2. Wow! That was so fast! I looked at your album a day or two ago and thought it looked exhausting. I can't wait to see the things you create. Space of your own is so important and now you won't be worrying about future rent! Is this close to your home? The really great thing about basement space is that in the summer it is cool. White walls and good lighting is going to make this terrific.

  3. Wow, you got that done fast! You are obviously motivated. Did you bribe family to help get this done, or hire a crew. Either way I can't wait to see the next phase, and then the one in which you are happily creating art in your own space. :-)

  4. Start scouting Goodwill now for a comfortable upholstered chair - I still would not have one in my studio if not for someone else looking for one for me.

Well, well, well...look who is swatching!  The plan (here goes...) is to knit my grand daughter a sweater.  This will be my first knitted ...
