I haven't had coffee yet. Instead I had a cup of abstract fabric play to shake off the mental sluggishness! Can't say it worked just like coffee but it gave me a little pick me up. Here is my morning perk work:
I used the solids I purchased for the exercises in C&C which I've yet to do the next batch. Look for those over the weekend along with my January JQ2006 which I completed last night.
Also, I went to see the Form, Not Function exhibit and all I can say is WOW! This is the 3rd year for this show and it just keeps getting better and better. I'll write more about it over the weekend as well. I'll be making several trips over to see it in attempts to drag my non-quilting family and friends to see it. Peace.
Your pinks and reds read very differently between the two pictures. Just thought you might want to be aware of that... btw - I like the high contrast of the first one better. :)
ReplyDeleteSusan, I took the first one on portrait and the second one as close-up. Portrait seems to give the most accurage colour in all my snaps. Plus, more than likely, I need to spend more quality time with my camera to maximize the benefits.
ReplyDeleteKaroda,
ReplyDeleteI think the angle of the shot also changed the colors. The light will bounce more from the low angle used in the close up.
atleast it looks like a different angle.
It is a different angle. I appreciate the insight.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun opening your page and seeing such brilliant colors. That really ought to shake the sleep off just like caffeine.
ReplyDeleteOh. yum! Good to see work from you. Keep having fun!!
ReplyDeleteThat's not a color combination you see every day...I like it!
