While reading Beverly's blog, Fiberhart, about sorting her stash, I thought why not sort by value instead of colour?! I think I'll try this...and just number the boxes 1-10 for value! A while ago I had thought about sorting colours in shades, tones, etc. but thought that would be too many darn bins for a colour family...but values, I'm thinking it'll work!

ReplyDeleteI'm still learning about color and value. This is a very interesting idea . . . will you be able to post for us maybe some shots after you're done sorting?
ReplyDeleteYou're right Gerrie. I took a class with Katie years ago and she came over to look at my fabrics and rummaged a bit and said "where are your mediums?" - BINGO! I'm a real high contrast person. She talked about bribing herself to get what she needed to fill in and now I'm more aware too - more mediums to go with the dark and light value choices.
